20th Century-Fox Video, CBS/Fox Video, Fox Video, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, and 20th Century Studios Home Entertainment is a home video company for film and television video releases produced by 20th Century Fox.
It first began releasing films on video cassette in 1976 through Magnetic Video, who initially licensed films from 20th Century Fox. 20th Century Fox bought out Magnetic Video in 1977 and became the first film studio to directly produce and distribute home video cassettes. In March 1982, Magnetic Video changed its name to 20th Century-Fox Video and became a major label in both the Rental and Sales market. In June 1982, 20th Century-Fox Video changed its name to CBS/Fox Video after the merger with CBS Video Enterprises. In March 1991, after a reorganization of the company the name changed once again to Fox Video. The company was renamed Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment in March 1995. In March 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox. 20th Century Studios Home Entertainment now operates as a label of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
